What is Zumba® Gold Toning?
Zumba® Gold Toning is a moderately paced, low impact Zumba® class that uses light, maraca-like weights (provided). They are called Toning sticks and they are great to shake and "play" as musical instruments.
This class is suitable for all, including the active older adult or anyone starting out a new fitness program.
Zumba® Gold Toning provides a safe low impact cardio workout with added resistance training through the use of the weights.

Why You Should Make Dance A Part Of Your 2024
If you’re wanting to hit the dance floor in 2024 but you’re full of hesitation, we’re here to help you out. Dancing is awesome for so many reasons and incorporating it into your daily life should be at the top of your New Year’s resolutions list, regardless of any rumors you’ve heard! Think you know the truth about dancing? Think again. We debunk 5 myths, just ahead.
#1 Everyone will be better than me.
Nope, dance classes aren’t just for elite movers and shakers. From tiny tots learning to jump and skip to octogenarians looking to stay young, you’ll find all types of people in a dance class.
#2 I’m not “artsy” enough for a dance class.
Actually, dancing can be a great way for you to use the right side of your brain if you spend a lot of time doing things like crunching numbers, solving problems, or doing manual labor. Check out how one man used dance to make him a better CEO!
#3 I don’t have the right [shoes/clothes/partner/whatever] to take a dance class.
One of the best things about dance is that anyone can do it, just about anywhere. You don’t need any special equipment or apparel – slip on comfy, stretchy clothes and a good pair of sneakers and you’re ready to go!
#4 Dance classes aren’t an effective form of exercise.
We hate to break it to you, but dancing is a killer work out. It’s a pure cardio session that gets your heart pumping and you can burn 600 calories an hour (or more!) in a dance class. Talk about a fun way to torch some calories.
#5 I’m not a natural, and you have to have rhythm to dance.
Just like learning to swim, drive a car, make pottery, or anything else – you have to practice! Dance classes are a learning experience and your confidence will grow over time. And something like a Zumba® class takes the intimidation out – the formula is repetitive and easy to follow, so you’ll get the hang of it quickly.
